DVD Releases
Many people here have been asking about DVD releases of The Reflecting Skin, and while there seems to be little hope of a US/UK release anytime soon (aside from the bootleg taken off the laserdisc), it IS available on import.
The German DVD (under the title Schrei In Der Stille - "Cry In The Silence"), comes with a great widescreen transfer (roughly around 1:66:1), gorgeous animated menus and 5.1/DTS sound - except it's only in German! Bit of a bummer, but definitely worth a peek if you speak the language. No extras except for some filmographies and trailers for completely unrelated films

And also this Japanese issue that just came out recently. I can't really speak of the specs for it since my copy won't arrive for a few weeks, but based on the comments of people at the Viggo Chronicles fansite (http://www.viggochronicles.com/forums/index.php?s=47dd432f180ac36d15811184af0a9df6&showtopic=2177) it's in widescreen with a great transfer, alas with no extras (except, apparently, for a poster of Seth!). I'll let you all know if it's in English.
