Scenes that were the result of the reshoots
As we all know, Nightbreed had some reshoots before being released into theaters. I thought it would be fun to list what scenes were added later.
* I believe the initiation scene where Boone is judged by Baphomet was a new scene, as it is not in the scripts I have read. Most likely test audiences were confused over how Boone suddenly showed up in Midian with no explanation.
* John Agar's two scenes were new, added for the sole purpose of helping to better explain Decker's motivation for hating the Nightbreed.
* I believe that the scene of Lori encountering Narcisse dancing with a corpse was added later, helping audiences to better understand the danger Boone was in by seeing Baphomet and to help explain the Berserkers that attack Lori moments later.
* The scene at the Sweet Grass Inn's reception area where Arnie is decapitated and the desk clerk is killed was new, added so that audiences better understood that Decker had killed the men in the room that Lori and Boone discover.
* Decker killing Inspector Joyce was a new scene, as Joyce survives for later scenes in the film that were cut.
*Narcisse with Boone and Lori after the humans are defeated. Originally, he dies by decapitation by Decker's sword. His scene at the end must be from the reshoot as well, hence the reason he is not in the barn with the other Breed.
* The ending where Ashbury resurrects Decker was a new scene, as the original scene had Ashbury killing Eigerman in the remains of Midian instead.
Did I miss any? I think most of the new scenes were good and help the story along, although I want to see the original version where Inspector Joyce survives and Decker is not resurrected, as well as all the extra content that was cut.
