It's always intrigued me. His character doesn't appear in either the original screenplay or the comic adaptation, so he must have been a late addition. Anybody know?
Yes, his scene was one of the reshoot scenes added to help the audience better understand Decker's motivation. They needed someone for Decker to explain it all to. Now how they got John Agar to play this small sequence, I don't know. I do recall reading in an interview with Agar at some point many years ago that he did not like the film at all after watching it.
I wonder if Agar's footage will be used in the Cabal Cut or not?
