Anyone thinks the film was one of Hellboy's inspirations?

I mean similar dark gothic horror fantasy with Lovecraftian themes and I'm referring to Mike Magnollia's comic books/graphic novel series.

Even the movies by Del Toro are similar to the film and Del Toro is a Barker/Nightbreed fan.

Del Toro would be a good choice if the book was ever re-adapted by someone other than Clive Barker. Nightbreed has such a strange, bizarre fantasy vibe that I just don't think could quite be replicated, but Del Toro would be the best bet if it ever happened.

Yes Nightbreed has a Pan's Labyrinth feel to it too.

And did Hellboy reminded you of Nightbreed?

I've never watched the film, though the scenes I have seen on Youtube or from the trailers do indeed remind me of it to some degree, enough that it had actually crossed my mind in the past.

I can't find any interviews with Del Toro where he mentions or talks about Nightbreed, which is really odd. This should be like his favorite movie.

Might be one of his favorites.

Hellboy does have NB similarities like secret society of monsters, monsters as good ones as well as some that are bad and some humans who think monsters aren't very good theme.
