The Cabal cut?
Where can I watch this version?
shareI don't think you can. It was only screened certain places in order to fund the Blu-Ray release. As opposed to a washed out polishing of that, they got the actual footage and created the director's cut, so that would be the version to see. It's on Blu now.
shareUnless they're still showing it at festivals, you won't be able to see the "Cabal Cut."
The "Cabal Cut" was never meant to be the definitive version, anyways. It was literally just the extremely rough first or second cut with everything in it, but was never intended to be the accepted "definitive" or final cut. Most films have similar early cuts that run 2, 3, 4 or more hours before they are trimmed in editing, and they're never even really intended to be seen. The "Cabal Cut" was only shown because for a time, it was the only way for people to see any of the lost footage.
The new Director's Cut is as close as we can possibly get to Clive Barker's intended final cut. It adds in a significant portion of the lost footage and re-arranges many key scenes in a way closer to Barker's vision of the film.
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?
