who thinks this movie is like Island of Dr Moreau and Avatar?

I think Barker was inspired by HG Welle's novel as well as the 1933 adaptation Island of Lost Souls with the same thing about a society of monsters and their creator with a whole "law" thing.

And Avatar comparisions are there as they have the same story about a human who was turned into a creature as he joins up with a tribe of misunderstood creatures as they accept him as a messiah and he is now part of the people as the humans want to tear them down in a war, i can see Boone being like Jake and Deckar or the officer as Quatrich. Yet you can argue that NB is also the same story as Dances with Wolves, Last of the Mohicans, Man Called Horse, Lawrence of Arabia, Dune, Ferngully, Last Samurai etc. it's an ages old story told many many times in different ways and this is Clive Barker's horror fantasy version of that story.
