The Director's Cut, WOW

Being a big fan of this over the years since i saw it 2 times in theaters as a kid and having the comics ( i still own them), mug and all that i had waited for the director's cut of this movie even in the last decade after hearing about the Cabal Cut.

This movie looks awesome on blu-ray and you think it was filmed last year with it's stunning restoration, the DC's somehow improves over the TC as i do own the 3-disc LE and the ending is more tacked on to Clive's vision.

I was very pleased with the DC. It was like a dream come true for me...I'd been waiting to see it for far too long. I just wish 2 subplots would have been restored: Decker's mask and the Lori/Babette connection. Still, a very well-done re-editing of the original. It truly does make the film better, although I'll always have a soft spot for the broken but loveable theatrical version.

Do you think it's on par with DCs like Blade Runner, Brazil, Legend, Amadeus, Once upon a Time in New York , Alien etc. in terms of excellent director's cuts?

I've only seen the Blade Runner DC, but yes, the Nightbreed DC certainly makes the film considerably better. You can still tell Clive's a better author and painter than he is a filmmaker, but I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the theatrical cut again. It's so broken!

Hahaha "Kill Whitey-Black Sheep" xD
I effing love that movie. I always consider that a movie that is kind of back to back with Dumb & Dumber. Although not as good, it's still a great comedy. Like when Chris Farley's character runs right into a tree branch when he tries to get better reception, it just looks freaking brutal!!
