and malcolm smith as ashberry

i've not seen this in a few years (just ordered the dvd/ble ray combo) malcolm smith gets the special credit in this movie, which is usually reserved for a name actor playing a small part. ive checked his imdb profile, which is sparse to say the least. in fact i'm not sure if the first couple of credits can be for him, as they are from the 1950s. who is he? and what happened to him ?

I've often wondered the same thing. He has no filmography that would support such a credit in the titles. The only other thing I have ever seen of him is when he wrote an interesting introduction to the Nightbreed trade paperback comic book that collected the first four issues (the movie-based issues), released by Epic. He was not interviewed at all on the new Bluray.

Whose idea was it for the word LISP to have an S in it?

reply

He would've been a huge part in the sequels if they had been made. That's always been my guess.

Really? Interesting.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

I guess that kind of makes sense- its funny in this internet age he seems to have fallen off the face of the earth - I've finally watched the nightbreed blu ray special features/commentary and he warrants no mention at all

In an interview Clive Barker said they had an affair for a couple of years and worked together as Malcom was an artist too. Then he got really interested in omeopatie and studied that deeply. Barker also said he has no news from him since when they split, that he would be happy to know how M is going today and that he wishes him all the best
