I think Cooper's plan would've worked better. Granted going into the attic would have worked better than anything, or destroying the stair case, but between boarding up the windows or hiding in the basement, the basement would have worked. All that hammering drew all the zombies to them. If they stayed quiet and hid in the basement, there probably wouldn't of been any zombies. Plus when the gang of zombies finally do get into the house, they never do get down into the basement. I know they didnt know how long they'd be there but still...

Two things...

1) The kid would've turned either way, mom and dad would've tried to defend her and they would've killed each other just like in the movie.

2) The fact is they never were in an if-if situation. Cooper was the only one who insanely kept insisting on choosing. They could have used both options the whole time (as they in a way did in the end). Try to board up, regroup and get away, and if all else fails, hide in the seller.

The attic would of been the best place seeing that it was a pull down staircase, but yeah they would of changed because the Coopers wouldn't have allowed for anyone to shoot their child, also, the zombies would of still been around the house by the morning, probably. They would of still been between a rock in a hard place, because they wouldn't know if it was safe or not. Of course Cooper did come out.

Cooper didn't have a gun to begin with. Daughter turns, Pop, kill her. Cooper objects, Pop, kill him too. The Zombies only gathered at that house because of all the hammering. You see them being attracted by all the noise. ( A zombie is walking away from the house, hears the knocking, turns around and walks towards it.) So, I don't know. Ben's plan obviously didnt work. In the original I guess it did for him, until the end. Stay quiet, stay hidden, would've been fine i think.
