One of the things that really bothered me.

Was that broken window on the back door! They didn't even attempt to fix it until the zombies really started showing up. That whole time, it was just gaping and open for any of them to get in. Did this bother anyone else?

Yes. But, to be fair, it could be assumed that they had no real suspicion that things would get as bad as it did, or as fast, and could handle it. Nailing the windows shut only attracted more zombies.

If they would have kept quiet, they may not have attracted any zombies at all.
