So why show the old man in the cemetery, but not show what happened to him ? It's like one minute he's there, and the next, he's gone. Also how is it that the first zombie is able to grab a brick to smash the car window, but the others throughout the movie never figure that out ? I noticed they had a similar scene in The Walking Dead, when Rick and the others are in the department store. There was a zombie there with a huge rock, but none of the others seem to have that figured out. I'm guessing it's plot holes for the whole zombie busting windows with a weapon, but would appreciate everyone's theories.

I would have liked to know what happened with that old man myself, I guess we'll never really know though. As for your other question, my only thought about that is maybe some zombies are just smarter than others and maybe as time goes on they also slowly start to develop some of the intelligence they once had in life.

That is possible about some being smarter, but I wondered why you only saw one zombie doing that, and he was more decomposed than the other one that attacked the car. That just always baffled me.
