Bastian's dad was the Flash! :)
John Wesley Shipp who plays Bastian's dad is best known for playing Flash in the cool 1990 live action series Flash (and in some of the animated movies/shows).
He was cool in this, although the weak script didn't do him or any of the other characters any favors.
