When I watched it for the first time June 13, 2007 and BAstian wrestled Atreyu for the Aryun (OR whatver) and Bastian knocked him over... Atreyu died (I laughed when that happened Idk why but...).
When Bastian got to the Silver City Atreyu was laying there "DEAD", now either Kenny Morrison couldn't hold his breath or Atreyu wasn't dead.
What are your thoughts? Plz be nice

No, in the end of "The Never Ending Story" Bastian flies with Falkor through Phantasia you see all that guys waving to him, also Atreyu!
That is how it is in the German version. I've only seen the international version one time, but I can't remember this scene was left out there.
He's talking about dead in THIS movie. Yes, he died, he fell down like, three stories of rock, and he was lifeless. The actor just couldn't hold his breath.

Atreyu died after Bastian shoved him off the cliff. If you recall, later at Silver City, Bastian wishes Atreyu back to life (although I noticed while watching this last night that it appeared that Kenny Morrison was unable to hold his breath or something - he's clearly breathing).

No idea, but I'm glad he wasn't. Besides the 3rd film flat-out blowing chunks and having virtually nothing to do with Michael Ende's masterpiece, they also screwed up the characters and turned them into laughingstocks (namely Falkor and the Rockbiter). Atreyu probably would've looked like Felipe Rose had he been included in that atrocity.
