Absolutely!! It’s about a family of 4 giants that live together in Texas..
Wacky high jinks ensue without too much drama. Great night in kind of film.

You're right. Cher plays a full mermaid who mates with with a human played by Bob Hoskins. Their child grows up to be Winona Ryder, who is only half-mermaid (she has feet instead of a tail but can stay underwater for hours). Winona has to make a decision whether to stay in the human world or the mermaid world forever. It's very bittersweet.
