WHy was Mr. Landsky at the parent-teacher meeting?

I alwasy wondered why he was at the meeting- he didn't have school-age kids and he wasn't a teacher, so why was he there?

reply

he was probably accompanying chers character. have a good one.

i like these calm little moments before the storm.

I always took it as it was a small town and everyone was going to be there so people with out kids showed up too. Just a place to socialize as well. He was talking about baseball when they first showed up.

"Mr. Reynolds has apparently changed his name to Turd Ferguson."

I always wondered this too. He and Mrs. Flax didn't go there together. Remember, when she and the girls got out of the car, they pinched their cheeks and made the comment about the Edsel.

I've always wondered this. That makes sense about the small town thing though.

I always figured that he was lonely and just wanted to associate and be with people. Just something to do - somewhere where he would know people and have folks to talk to.

Cher only went because she knew he would be there. Hahaha

I love this movie. Always have!

I wondered that too.
I do agree with another post though.
It was a small, everybody knows everybody, town.
It was most likely a social event.
