I always remember seeing the sound 'boom' stick thingymebob come down from the top of the screen for a second or two in one of the kitchen scenes! For some reason it always caught my eye and it was really off putting. Did anyone else notice this or am I a bit strange?

Yes that would be true of course if I were watching and indeed commenting on a Broadway play, but as I am commenting on a film your response or witty comment (as you may see it) is not really relevant is it and makes you look rather silly.
