This movie was shot in my friend's backyard

I live in the town where parts of the movie were shot and I actually have to say I've never even seen the movie but I'm sure it's really good. Anyway one day I was hanging over my friends house one day and she showed me this extremely old gazebo behind her house and told me how it was used in the movie and there's all this painted stuff on it and styrofoam stuff that the moviemakers left there. I thought it was really cool. And I guess they also shot in and around the Ames mansions in my town. Just thought I'd share for anyone interested lol.

Lou's shoestore was shot in Rockport, MA. If you Google Earth the town, there is actually a pinned photo where you can see the actual store and street. Not sure if they shot the gazebo scene here though.

To the original poster: very cool! I think that's neat, even if you've never seen the movie itself. I felt the same way when I found out All The Right Moves was filmed not too far from where I live =)

I don't know, but the scene where Kate has her swim meet was filmed at my old high school in Pawtucket, RI.

Is this some sort of funhouse... "Why, having fun?"
