Did Winona blow it, or is it just me?

She had such a fantastic career going at this time in 1990 as some other posts have mentioned: successful blockbuster movies, A-lister/movie star boyfriends, getting roles with hunks like "Jake Ryan" from "16 Candles", just about every teenage girls' hard core crush at the time & then she goes & blows her whole career with that shift lifting scandal? Why Winona? Why??

I'm not hating here, rather, I'm missing her & wondering what other roles we most certainly have missed her & her talents in for sure.

Anybody have any ideas, or roles you think she could have gone on to lend her skills to had she continued with out the interruption of the shoplifting scandal?
