this is a good film
I have never understood the negative views that people have of this film.
There are some cliches but I think it holds up on the whole.
I always enjoy watching this movie...
Sure, I understand that it isn't historically accurate where the "Memphis Belle" is concerned, but I also know when I watch this movie, that it isn't a documentary... it is a MOVIE. Most Movies are meant to entertain audiences while they eat popcorn for a couple hours. (It's not meant to teach!)
But I do believe the film is fairly accurate in telling the story of how it was to be a bomber crew in WWII, and what those crews went through...
Perhaps if the movie, featured a fictional plane instead, the movie would have received far less criticism...
Because if you take the "Memphis Belle" of the plane, the rest of the movie IS good!
