I grew up watching this movie and now I'm 26, all I can say is... yikes.

And as a kid I thought she was like 40 lol she does look older than 26 though. Just thinking that 3 years before this movie was made, she was 23. It does sound hard to believe.

That has genuinely blown my mind. I always thought she was a responsible, mature adult, not a 26 year old.

These days 26 year old teachers are like children themselves.
