They were probably threatened not to "sing" by the Government agents that accosted Jacob later in the movie. It's implied even though they don't show it. Remember, they wanted to sue and take the government to task for the psychological effects they were experiencing. That's dicey when the government is covering up something.

Jacob was beaten and threatened by thug Feds. It's pretty clear that the other members of his unit got the same work-over and backed down.
