Am I the only one...

... who watches this and refuses to call "Patrick", Patrick? The character is so obviously Victor Criss, not Patrick Hockstetter, and I can't for the life of me figure out why they would try to meld the two characters like that. Both played key roles in the story IMO, but they were so totally different. So even though the credits list the character as Patrick, my mind supersedes it and just calls him Victor.

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.

I agree with this. I've always considered him Victor and was shocked to even see Patrick's name in the end credits.

I read somewhere the original script was twice as long as what ended up actually getting filmed. Maybe "Patrick" was originally a genuine composite of the two characters but all of the Hockstetter scenes got cut, leaving us with a character that just equates to Victor Criss.

For twenty years I thought it was Victor until someone brought it up on this board.

You know, I must not have been paying much attention to the mini-series as I assumed they had cut the Patrick character out....I assumed the guy in the mini series was Victor as he was in no way Patrick. I think Patrick was more psychotic than Henry was....
