Needed a new adult Bevvie
Adult Bevvie in the book is really hot. Adult Bevvie in the film is not hot. Why did they cast her? Couldn't they have come up with an actress who was hot at the time - like Adrienne Barbeau?

shareIn the book? LOL. This is one of the stupidest comment I've ever read.
Moron.
Lol Barbeau as Bev?
I'd be like "Whaaaaa."
I recommend you read the book - all 1116 pages in fine print - tell us what you think then.
Otherwise, I did a careful reading recently - of all of it - and I obviously compared the book to the film afterwards.
There are many points of similarity and difference.
One point of difference is the representation of Bevvie.
In the book, a big deal is made of how beautiful Bevvie is to the male losers. In particular, King makes repeated reference to how the attractive young Bevvie blossoms into a virtual goddess as an adult.
In the film, not much is made at all of Bevvie's beauty, sexuality and allure - either as a teenager or as an adult.
Anyway, happy to be proven wrong when you've read the book.
Until then, Adrienne Barbeau rules!
Conflicted.
Annette O'toole did okay (even with that dcript).
Adrienne Barbeau is amazingly hot and strong.
But to give her the original script?
Sorry but Annette O'toole wins.
