Wouldnt it be better to abduct humans and breed them

instead of randomly jumping people who may or may not be missed and with potential witnesses wandering around?

And abduct or kill, wouldnt it have been smarter in a small town or perhaps a nomad tribe from Africa?

Have all these questions already been asked?

Maybe the alien couldn't choose the place of landing, or he was ready for a bigger challenge than nomad tribe people. Maybe it was also like a (forbidden in this case) sport on their planet (similar to Predator).
