Why did Kevin enjoy torturing the wet bandits?

Do you think he had a point? I mean he seemed to really enjoy it. But do you think he had a point or was he just enjoying hurting people? Of course he would have left them alone if they didn't mess with his home, but what do you think?

reply

Of course he has a point. Any regular citizen has the right to defend themselves and their homes.

The intruders didn't get the hint with the initial deterrents. Instead the intruders vowed harm to the kid. I would absolutely find enjoyment in the pain of intruders who mean to cause me harm. That's their fault, not mine.

Totally agree with you. I loved it when he said that he's calling the cops to make them follow him. I just loved that part.

reply

He did it so he could get the burglars to leave which they refused, I feel no sympathy for the burglars for the consequences of their actions.

reply

Totally agree with you my friend.

Psychoanalytic motive: Kevin use the defense mechanism of displacement by redirecting his anger from his brothers onto the Wet Bandits. Unable to confront his brothers directly, he channels his aggression toward the two thugs, who symbolically represent them, allowing him to express his repressed frustrations in a way that he cannot do with his family members.

reply

That's true. It would be funny if Kevin used those traps on his family.
