If the wet bandits were smarter they would leave the house and Kevin alone

They would leave this house and find another house to rob. If I were Marv or Harry I would say let's go find another house. This kid is no joke. Let's leave. This is what they would have said if they were smarter.

Marv was actually concerned about robbing a house with a kid inside, probably because it would be too much chaos as well as a bigger risk of being caught, but Harry was more concerned about instant gratification and shut him up.

Yep. The McCallister's house was the crown jewel on that street to Harry. He took it as a personal challenge.

Harry has claimed this house was the reason why they wanted to burglarize it and weren't letting anything stop them, even Marv suggested it wasn't a good idea to do so with Kevin inside.
