The Will of Father Christmas and Kevin's Destiny

Everybody likes to tear the first two Home Alone movies apart saying "This don't make sense, that don't make sense, this person should have done that" ect. ect. but i think people are forgetting that Father Christmas himself is a character in the movie and is pulling all the strings.

All the yuppies on Kevin's block lacked the Christmas Spirit and instead of wanting to be home with their families around the fireplace were more interested in their status trips to Paris and Florida ect. Only Kevin had the true Holiday Spirit which is why Father Christmas destined Kevin to do battle with the Wet Bandits. It was the Will of Father Christmas that made everything happen. It was the Will of Father Christmas that put Kevin in New York with the now Sticky Bandits as observed when Father Christmas blows "the Wet Bandits escape" headline unto the McCallister Front Door.

You can blame the Mom and anything else you want but the real story is the Christmas Gods pitted Kevin against the Wet Bandits because Kevin had the True Christmas Spirit and it was all Destiny.
