Doggy Door

My son and I were watchin this tonight and he asked me why they have a doggy door but no dog. Any thoughts?

At the start of the movie Kate is on the phone and Kevin whines about uncle Frank not allowing him to watch the movie. Kate says 'If Uncle Frank says no...then it must be really bad' then she returns to the call and says 'no we're not taking the dog we put him in a kennel for the...hey hey hey off the bed'.

They had a dog but they had already booked him into the doggy Plaza.

Well I had too but it came up here a while back and I remember somebody quoting the script.

Yeah, my thought is you should put the Angry Birds away when you watch a movie that way you don't miss details explicitly divulged on screen. The Mother says flat out that they kenneled the dog.

The previous people who lived in that house probably had a dog before Kevin's family moved in.

Orr maybe they had one that died ?!?!?!?!?
