*Spoilers* Not really a disturbing film, just sad all around...
Maybe I've seen so many horror films that this one didn't affect me but in my experience, the only thing this movie made me feel was sad. It's sad to think that people actually live like this.
Not just the destitute house that Henry and Otis lived in, but the lives that they lead. One is a drug dealer and the other a serial killer, neither of whom feels any remorse for the things they do. It seems like a sad and empty life, like they're dead already. And then there's Becky, the most tragic of them all. It's almost like she never stood a chance, what with being abused by her father and having a neglectful mother. And to top it off, being abused by her own brother. All of these warped life experiences make her think she's found love with Henry, when at most the only thing I think they had was a connection because of their tragic pasts.
If you want to be bummed out, watch this movie. It plays like a late 80s, early 90s Lifetime original movie but with a bit more gore.
