Would Bobo really call for Lily's head when he found out about the trunk full of money she skimmed from him? I mean, he asked her if she was taking a little for herself and she basically confessed saying something like "if he doesn't steal a little, he's stealing big". I mean I can see him having her roughed up but she was pretty valuable to him. Then again, maybe she was just becoming too untrustworthy lately and that was the final straw.
shareI think it was the principle with Bobo--he would make a point whether or not you were stealing a little or stealing a lot.
shareSince Lily deals with a lot of cash (at the race track), and even admitting to Bobo that she "clips" a few extra dollars for herself, Bobo seems to expect that from any of his couriers.
But Bobo really doesn't like it if he discovers that a car-trunk full of $$$ was skimmed off from him. Not just on principle, but also it would make him look bad.
This is why Bobo sent his henchmen out to look for Lily. Most likely, they would've had her killed if she caught up with them.
No way. If she took a little now and then it was OK. But she was getting greedy and Bobo couldn't let that slide...would make him look bad so he had to make an example of her as a warning to others.
shareIt wasn't the stealing, it was missing the big play at the track that she was supposed to lay-off. he lost a lot of money to punters because he had to pay a much higher odds than he should have if Lilly had done her job.
