How does Lily ripoff Bobo?

We see Lily at the track picking up lots of discarded tickets on horses that finished out of the money. My guess is that Lily goes thru these and keeps any tickets that were bet on the long-shot she bet big $$ on, then claims to Bobo that she bet more than she actually did (thus pocketing the difference).

Is this correct?

You're pretty much correct kag. She was hedging. There's a thread on it somewhere below or on the last page that goes into more detail.
