Hey Coppola, it's 2020. Maybe trying to make everyone feel as bad as possible at the end wasn't the best of decisions?
The movie's good and looks great on the big screen, but holy shit that re-edited ending is twisting the knife.
I can't honestly think of any way a re-edit could improve this turd, at least enough for me to pay to see it.
I'll see the re-edit at some point, but I don't have great expectations.
What were the differences?

shareI didn't see it but heard about the ending thru another review. Basically FFC removes the actual death scene of Michael alone with the puppy dogs and switches it to a scene of just him, older and alone, but still alive and a final screen with words stating that he was condemned to live out his life without redemption, alone, and haunted. To me that's a big SO WHAT? I could have inferred that with the original ending when he finally croaks.

shareThe original ending was much better and more emotional. He died alone, a contrast to how his father died. I just finished watching Coda and I am very disappointed. I expected some brand new scenes too and a wow of an ending. What was the point in this? Waste on money. :-(
