US DVD release...... - Un gatto nel cervello (1990) Discussion

The amazon link from imdb.com shows that in Canada it is available on DVD; but then states, "it won't be released until 2010. You can order it now and well ship it to you." I have been trying to find a DVD copy of this film everywhere. In whatever region code, I don't really care. I just want the film in my collection. The closest I've found was an unrated laserdisc (anyone know how to rip a LD to DVD+R?).

Then I can release it for myself. 8)

This ones out on DVD region 0 in the UK, and yes it is fully uncut and has a running time which is longer than any other release ive heard.

I'm just killing time on planet earth....that must be why im here... NuTbAg

I bought my dvd off of fleshwoundvideo.com. It is a dvd-r , but the best they make, very good quality(if I can say that because the movie is terrible). good luck

I have only seen the image release in america once and i didn't know how rare it was at the time and i passed on it. It is extremely hard to find. Luckily i got an uncut laserdisc of it so it made up for it.

I have a quite reliable source that tells me the wonderful folks at Grindhouse Releasing have a nice dvd of A Cat in the Brain in the works for release sometime early 2007. I can't wait!!!

Well since it says 2007 we can expect it around 2008 or 2009 because you can't ever take a release date from grindhouse seriously.

wow, lol its true still no release

but i saw a trailer for it on Cannibal Holocaust 2 disk so my guess is yeah, one should come out soon

I got a question for you all here, since this is the Cat In The Brain board.

Which is the better dvd version? I plan to order this from Amazon.co.uk's site. They have 2 versions, but I have no idea which one is better.

Sometimes I see a Region 0 copy show up on Ebay every now and then. I'm still waiting for the Grindhouse Releasing version to get a release date.

On a side note, Fulci's film The Beyond will be getting it's Grindhouse Release on October 28.

**Update** I emailed the folks at Grindhouse and they told me that the DVD of Cat in the Brain will be released in January. Keep your fingers crossed.

Good gravy let's hope this is true. I yearn for more Grindhouse Releasing DVDs...and I really want to see this film. If it's not out in the next few months, I may have to get the Raro release.

Speaking of Grindhouse... Have they ever released An American Hippie in Israel, and if so, is it available to purchase anywhere? From the trailer, it looks like the greatest movie ever made.

And just how many DVDs have they released? The only ones I FOR SURE know about are:

says feb 24th it is coming to dvd since it is grindhouse releasing i won't be surprised if that release date won't stick hopefully it will no websites have officially announced it yet though but if the date does stick we should be hearing an official announcement with the dvd specs anytime now methinks.
