Always running, but then when Jami Gertz wants to go stop Gus from flying to NY, she jumps in the car and you can clearly hear the ignition. So what's with that car, what's doing all the noise while it's supposedly turned off?
shareI don't quite remember - was it "engine run-on"? I think it (used to) happen with carburetors running 'rich' and/or with bad gas. My dad had a station wagon that would sputter for a few seconds after you turned of the engine and took the keys out. Fuel injection stopped all that.
