Not that I hated his performance but I didn't think it was oscar worthy.

Honestly, I think this is one of his best performances. Certainly his funniest.

Jokerswild1 - That would leave him with only one win for Supporting Actor in his entire career. That wouldn't seem right.

@UltronDoom86 A lot of yelling, but not much acting. Dustin Hoffman was much better, though the whole movie is too hammy for anyone to be nominated - they're literally playing cartoon characters.

The only exception would be Glenne Headly as Tess - she seemed to play a real character. I like Dick Tracy, but subtle it ain't.
