I wish they had continued this show..
I really loved it, but I didn't like the original show. I just recently watched it again on Netflix and I hated that they did not continue the story!

shareI know this is like, 6 years too late for a response but do you mean you wanted this version of the show to be a sequel to the original show? Thats what I read when you wrote

The OP is saying she preferred the 1990s revival to the 1960s original.
shareSo do I but, to be honest, its by a hare's breath.
"If you don't like your ideas, stop having them!"
I'm a fan of the original daytime soap version but the primetime 13-episode series was infinitely better. All of the mistakes in the original (cameras visible, actors flubbing their lines, etc.) was very distracting. The production values of the 1991 series were so much higher. If they would have tried another TV series now rather than that GOD AWFUL Johnny Depp film, it would be even better than the 1991 series (at least I hope it would be, if it were cast properly).
If you see a message from me, read my biography first before making a post. Thanks!
I prefer the 1991 version too. My mom watched the original, but it was too 70's soap opera for me. And I wasn't a fan of the recent movie, as much as I like Tim Burton films.
shareThe original show is my favorite TV show of all time, and I think the 1991 version was a wonderful attempt at modernizing it. Exactly what I wanted from a "new" Dark Shadows. The 2012 movie is fun enough on it's own, but not very good as a Dark Shadows adaptation. This is the real remake as far as I'm concerned.
