What was the intended storyline for Season 2?

Does anyone know where they were headed? Just curious if they were going to continue to follow the major storylines from the original or if they were going somewhere new? Obviously Victoria knew something at end of season one.......

From what I've read, Quentin Collins (to be played by Adrian Paul) was to be added to the show. Obviously there were big plans about Victoria finding out about Barnabas. Beyond that I don't know what would have happened.

Maybe they would've had Quentin be the reincarnated of Barnabas's brother Jeri and Victoria as the reincarnated Josette. Or that Quentin is Jeremiah, revealing that one of Angelique's descendants, a teenage girl who is a modern day witch went back in time to save Victoria after Barnabas threaten her life and her family, so she saves Victoria but unknown to Barnabas, she secretly went back and saved his brother Jeremiah from death and convinced him to come with her to the future after she faked his death to save Victoria/Josette and save her family from Barnabas. I think.

They probably intended for Quentin to be similar to the original. Ironic because he became immortal due to the portrait and Adrian Paul went on to become Duncan MacLeod.

They kept mentioning Roger's wife Laura. During Maggie's affair with Roger, she kept saying "What if she comes back?" And I think at one point she said "She's not like other people." So it sounded like there were plans to do the Phoenix storyline somewhere down the line.

1. I would've like Adrian Paul to come to 1991 Collinwood. I've never heard that theory before. That trumps #3 (see below).
2. I always thought Roger's wife Laura would comeback and be Angelique's doppelganger.
3. I wish they hadn't killed off Michael because I would've liked to see him & Victoria pick up where their 1791 counterparts left off.

i think there were plans of bringing laura in the second season for a bigger part on the show (we only saw her briefly in the first and sadly only season of this awsome show). now if the nice folks who own the rights to the show would PLEASE release ds '91 on dvd/blu ray the way it should be like when it was released on vhs with the day for night scenes restored, include the bonus material on episodes 1 & 12 plus the video dark shadows: resurrected and maybe JUST MAYBE as a bonus if a delux edition get's released include the wb pilot (i know long shot but hopefully the dan curtis estate might if they own the rights release it) and as another bonus include the book dark shadows: resurrected. i know i must be annoying people with whining constantly about how messed up the dvd release of ds '91 was. it was so simple. release the thing with the same content of the vhs version & if available, more stuff. my apologies to anyone sick of me writing so much about this subject. it's just, as a long time fan of the 1991 version of dark shadows (and dark shadows in general) i feel a little bit disrespected. it's like saying us fans are not worth the time.

That's just how I feel about Night of Dark Shadows. It's a well known fact the studio forced Dan Curtis to cut up the movie. It was supposed to be well over 2 hours long but he had to trim it down to 95 minutes and I believe he was only given 1 day to do it. When it was released on DVD and Blu-Ray it was still the 95-minute version with only a theatrical trailer and none of the deleted footage. There was talk for many years about them uncovering the "lost footage" only it didn't have sound. I read somewhere they got most of the original cast members to dub in their lines but they couldn't find anyone who could duplicate Grayson Hall's voice. I would still love to see it, though.

I also read they need quite a bit of money to finish the final product, but I have no doubt that if they did a Kickstarter or Gofundme type fundraiser Dark Shadows fans would definitely raise enough. I'd settle for even the silent footage with subtitles at this point.

While I personally still adore the movie the way it is, many fans of the original series don't like it and find it an incoherent mess. I think that's because of the cuts. I'd love to see it the way Dan Curtis originally intended. The studios must think "Oh, they'll buy it either way so there's no need to put out a good quality product." Yet if people didn't buy them they'd think there was no interest so it's a lose-lose situation. Dark Shadows fans are always getting cheated. 
