I like the guy who got into the dispute over the hat, they make the trade and put it behind them. And then there he is wearing the hat taking out the soldiers and saving Dunbar. Solid dude.

shareI didn't want your post to be lonely, so I'll tell you. My favorite is Black Shawl (Tantoo Cardinal), Kicking Bird's wife. I love the way she stands up to him, conversationally speaking. ("...she's the one who's crying!")
shareKicking Bird, hands down... but I've always had a thing for Graham Greene, anyway.
~ the hardest thing in this world... is to live in it ~
Kicking bird and Smiles a lot :)
shareWind In His Hair-- the part at the end when he's yelling to Dunbar on the cliff is one of the closest times i come to crying at a movie
shareI cried so hard during that scene! And it still chokes me up after all these years and dozens of viewings.
shareI cry at the ending every time I watch it, and I've seen it about 10 times. Tears me up every time.
shareI can't choose just one I love them all!!!
- but I dearly loved Floyd Redcrow Westerman - such a shame so many of these guys are gone, or fading.
There seem to be fewer and fewer cool old native guys in movies - and certain movies will never be the same without them ... Or even be made for that matter.
I even loved Wes Studi in this movie - he's awesome in everything he does.
Thinking about this makes me really want to hang on to all my western movies.
Kicking Bird.
shareKicking Bird: it's a well-written part and Greene is a fine actor.
