At the end they are taking him back to Fort Hayes to be hung. My question is if that's what they were going to do why didn't they just do it at Fort Sedgewick and get it over with? Unless he was going to get a military tribunal.

shareYes, we can assume he would be sentenced to death for betrayal, but let's hope he would be judged first and have the opportunity to talk. I don't know how it worked in case of Army betrayal but I assume there is always a trial.
