Who else wants a special edition blu-ray with audio commentary, interviews, featurette, deleted/alternate scenes, alternate ending, a bonus disc of TV cut, trailers/teaser and TV Spots with still and poster gallery.

What about Closed Caption or English SDH/English menu? There is a big problem with Scream/Shout!. They didn't put CC and SDH/English menu in "Funhouse: Collection" and "Halloween II: Collection Edition."

Shout Factory is notorious for that. CC is nearly impossible if you're connected with an HDMI cable, only subtitles work, which is not available with SF. The later seasons of their All in the Family Complete Series suffer for this reason as everything in the early seasons was mastered for DVD through Sony. SF picked up the remainder of the series after Sony stalled.
I hope we hear something soon. I am thinking Scream Factory has something up their sleeves. They are doing Amityville Horror and those Psycho sequels. I wonder if they can transfer the MGM bluray of the original and put it in a box set with the other Child's Play films.
That would be some *beep* but perhaps Universal is releasing the sequels in time for Curse. Either way, the HD masters are there, as shown by the Netflix streaming version of part 2 and those steelbook blurays.
for those that wrote in to Shout Factory for a Child's Play 2+3 release, they replied saying Universal refused because they had plans to release the titles themselves. then when bluray.com wrote to Universal, the response back was that there were no plans to release the films in promotion of Curse of Chucky, but at a later time. so i think we are getting screwed in ever seeing special edition/anniversary releases of Child's Play 2+3.
as for the original film it doesnt seem like MGM will bother. the 20th Anniversary was pretty much as good as it gets. the only thing left to release would be the uncut full length 2hr+ version of the film.
