Mr. Simpson was a horrible man

I thought he treated Andy abusively. Forcing him to get over stuff that he believes in. He shouldn't even be a father or foster father.

I love you, Kristen Stewart. :) You are so beautiful and talented. I would love to perform with you.

I don't think he hated Andy, he just didn't know how to handle a kid like him. He even said it before they took Andy in by asking if they were qualified to take care of a kid in Andy's supposed mental state. Having a kid in your house that was involved with several murders would make anyone seem a bit hesitant.

"Without management, there is only chaos."
"Can we try the chaos thing?"

But forcing him to open a door to the basement, blaming him for a glass being broken when he's brand new to the house, telling him he can't run when he's scared to death of the doll. He was a monster.

not at all, put yourself in his position and imagine it was real life well a living doll would no necessarily exist, he just thought Andy was being ridiculous and that explains the way he acted

Enough is enough! I have had it with these monkey fighting snakes on this Monday thru Friday plane!

He wasn't that bad at all. People today are just wussified. Some fathers will beat kids within and inch of their life. Did you want him to be all effeminate some so many "dads" today and carry Andy around in a baby carrier on his chest and braid his hair too?

reply

lol "He was a monster". Was he supposed to believe a doll had come to life and was chasing Andy around the house? Grow up.

I think he already had his mind made up about Andy before even meeting him and refused to give him a chance. He might've been a good fit for a "normal" child but wasn't so good for a child with such unusual circumstances like Andy.

Mr Simpson and Mrs Simpson were both morons. They knew Andy had a fear of the Good guy Doll so why even keep it in the house? Just throw it away in a nearby dumpster. Problem solved. Of course we would have a rather short movie....

I don't think Phil was a monster but I agree Phil had already made up his mind that he was not equipped to deal with a child like Andy. I thought Phil was a little insensitive to Andy when he ran away from the doll after it fell on him from the closet but the problem with Phil was he was very logical and refused to put up with what he considered "nonsense". Phil did not understand how to deal with a child who was traumatized. I don't think most people would automatically believe the doll was alive but perhaps they would be more sensitive and patient. But no Phil was not a monster or a terrible man.
