shareI think there's way more to what went on. Remember, the only information we got was secondhand gossip from a lowlevel Playpals exec, who probably read that from a weekly gossip magazine. Then there's the fact that Universal wasn't willing to pay for Chris Sarandon and Catherine Hicks to return so they had to be written out without actually appearing.

Chris Sarandon and Catherine Hicks actually were big stars before the first one was made. When it came time for negotiations for 2, their agents probably wanted more money for them to return.
