New DVD?

It appears the Pioneer Special Edition is now OOP, leaving this film with nothing but a crappy bare bones release from Artisan that looks and sounds like it was transfered from a VHS tape. Does anyone know if a new Special Edition(perhaps from anchor bay or blue underground) is in the works? This movie deserves better than that Fartisan DVD.

Anchor Bay should pick it up and release a special edition like with the first film.

it definately deserves it...I mean I'd like to see a remastered version of the undrated

I made a special point of asking the Anchor Bay guys at a con in Texas in June whether they were considering doing an "all-out" version for "Bride" like they did for the original Re-An. There's nothing on the horizon for this year, but I did put a bug in their ear to consider it.

I'm hoping AB will get smart and do a boxset of the trilogy all glossed up and pretty. I'd totally buy it, even if it was the Ultimate Re-An with no new features, a new, nifty version of Bride, and a repackage of Beyond without any new extras (even though Beyond has some really fun videos on YouTube from behind the scenes that appear on the European versions which would be a great addition). I'd be totally satisfied with that.

Now what would be the add-on though...? I've always wanted a huggable Herbie doll, but that's just me. ;) :)

Yeh, we need a new special edition from LionsGate or Anchor Bay.

it's probably best to not be liongate because they have a bad record for cutting the crap out of films

I'm not sure what region but at least in Australia, I have Bride with extras like 2 commentaries. One commentary with Jeffrey Combs and Bruce Abbott, the second with Brian Yuzna, Jeffrey Combs, Screaming Mad George, Howard Berger, Tom Raione, and a couple of other special effects crew.

It has Meg Re-Animated ( with another actress as Meg), and a 20 minute behind the scenes.

I first got stooged with the Artisan release, but luckily Australia released it with the extas I had read about.
