So how does he manage to survive being buried in the cave-in at the end, I dont think they mention anything about it in BEYOND

Dr. West is like Kenny in South Park--he dies in each movie then comes back in the next one like nothing happened.

I suppose the low dosage of re-animator he takes to ward of sleep prevents death, or at least improves his resistance to it.
