Hey I found a plot hole

When the general crawls out from the coffin with the dead guy and it goes outside thru the little bottom door, a bird picks him up and flies away. In mid air, the bird is bitten and falls from the sky dead. However the general just crawls away without a bone broken in its body and is uninjured

A bug survives a fall onto some soft grass, completely unscathed? That's unpossible!

HEY MA LOOKIT ME I OUTSMARTED A OLD MOVIE

[edit: this thread smells like socks]

reply

Um... spiders don't HAVE bones.

reply

LMAO... right?

What does the OP make of that scene where they are falling out of the trees by the scores, hitting branches all the way down?

Millsey is a weird gal/guy. Pops all all over Moviechat, posts 'plot hole' then sits back to see who bites. As trolls go, s/he is one of the more benign ones. Even gets one right from time to time.

To be honest, I can't answer the question as I haven't seen the film since it came out in theaters. As I recall, I thought it was rather silly back then.

reply

There's a scene at the movie's beginning where a bunch of spider biologists in South America gas the trees to collect samples. Unconscious spiders start to rain down from the trees, including iirc the big one. They hear it land with a noticeably louder 'clunk'.

It was a fun movie that didn't take itself too seriously with just the right balance between humour and scares.

reply

So what do they have?

reply

Exoskeletons, and/or endoskeletons. Even so, a fall from a great height wouldn't harm neither.

reply

Thanks. I never studied spiders. They are too creepy
