They had MUCH bigger problems than spiders!
Did anyone notice that in the slumber party scene the doll on the floor was alive?!?!
Frank Booth: Now it's dark...

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
Yep. It opens its eyes on its own. Good thing the Jennings' got out of there.
shareIt's to foreshadow that the Spider's power is really evil and supernatural so it had the effect to do so.
One cannot go through all that trouble to kill a Spider she was not ordinary spider but an evil witch of a Spider.
Ha, just researched this and that is exactly what I thought!
shareLike Annabelle. From The Conjuring? Or more like Chucky?
shareThe doll was possessed by the spider's mind control ability. Yes, they had that ability. It murdered one of the girls off-screen.
shareIt's been awhile, but I don't think the doll opened its eyes on it own - I thought it was after the spider landed on it.
shareNo the OP is right. One of the girls throws the doll down first. Then you see the shadow of a spider dangling on it's web. Then the doll slowly opens her eyes. As Jenning's daughter reads the line, "along came a spider" ,the spider comes down its web above the girl's head. As she finishes the rhyme it comes down and crawls across the open-eyed doll's face.
Yes it was "Chucky" creepy the way the eyes opened! (lol)
