They never explained who the hanging person was...

So wait, it's supposed to be the ghost of a guy who hung himself because he was falsy accused of the murder? Is that what it was? What was with the evil dog? And what was the significance of the 111? The actual killer was born on 11/1? This movie made no sense.

Im gonna try to figure out the plot, tell me if Im right. The priest had a son who he abandoned with the mother (for some reason) and the son gets revenge. They mistakingly think someone else is the killer (for some reason), and he escapes custody to hang himself on the priests property (for some reason). His ghost haunts the main character to get her to learn the truth. Is that basically the plot or not really?

It's pretty coincidental that the main character happened to be good friends with the actual killer, and it's even more coincidental that the killer moved into his father's old house without realizing it.
