I read somewhere that it's only out on dvd here in Norway.
it's already a cult classic over here.
the tag line was 'your not a man until you've watched F.F. 10 times' (or something similar)

shareGot the UK Video version, haven't seen a DVD release over here yet.
Don't know why I like this film but I always have.
Widescreen DVD version is available at Wal-Mart for $5.88
shareThis DVD will be released in North America on December 16th, 2003. Here is a review from someone who got an advanced copy of it - what a shame there is not a Dolby 5.1 track on it!!!
Reviewer: katatonia2 (see more about me) from Missouri, USA
I had the opportunity to buy the Adventures Of Ford Fairlane DVD about a month in advance, so I'll comment about the transfer and special features for buyers wanting details concerning the DVD. It is surely a definite must buy for fans of the movie.
It is a Double-Sided DVD with a crystal clear Anamorphic 2.35:1 Widescreen version on one side and a Full-Screen "formatted to fit your TV" version on the other side of the disc. It would have been nicer to just have a Dual-Layer DVD instead of Double-Sided DVD (easier to scratch!), but that's only a small complaint. It's great to finally be able to see the movie in it's original Widescreen format, a lot of small details are not visible in the Pan & Scan VHS version that's been available for years. I haven't viewed the Full-Screen version on the disc, but the Widescreen transfer on the disc looks as good as any newer movie would on the DVD format.
The audio options are English Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround, which is also very sharp and clear. You can also choose French or Spanish language tracks if you choose, both of those are in "mono" sound. Subtitles/Captions are available in English, French and Spanish as well.
The DVD special features... There is a full-length audio commentary by director Renny Harlin that is quite informative. You can choose to listen to his commentary track on either the Widescreen or Full-Screen side of the disc. Also included is the original "Making Of" featurette from 1990 that runs about 6 minutes in length. Plus, the original music video for Billy Idol's "Cradle Of Love". And last but not least, the original theatrical trailer in 2.35:1 Widescreen format!

I picked up this dvd at a wal-mart for $5.50. This film is special for me for one reason. I WAS IN IT !!!! okokokok. I was in the crowd for the concert at the beginning of the film. The concert was shot at Red Rocks Ampitheater just west of Denver, Colorado ( The same location for the U2 video, Sunday Bloody Sunday). A few tidbits about that shot. It was summer here and it had snowed the day before the shot was made, so it was cold still. They advertised a free concert to get people to fill up the ampitheatre. At first, the free show was with Skid Row. They cancelled and next tried to get the band Tora Tora. Tora Tora cancelled and then they finally had the band Queensryche to play. There were only enough people to fill up about half the theatre, so they send people with free t-shirts to get people to spread out. So that trick along with some editing made it look more crowded.
shareHey Lundo:
The DVD version? Don't know if it was the Widescreen version, but I saw the dvd version at my local Walmart store, in the discount bin, for $5.98 or something like that. Almost bought it. Might still, as I doubt the 20 or so copies are gone in the last week since I last saw it lying there in the bin!!! LOL!!!
Fury you are officially placed at number 16 in my cool book. i saw this movie in the theater and it was a laugh a minute. Incidentally, number one in my cool book is meeting and having a drink and chat with jenna jameson at the adult video awards in Las Vegas. But Fury you got 16.
P.S. if we pause and freeze frame and digitally enhance, can we see you in the movie? I'm serious about this, I'm not being sarcastic, bro.
You can find it virtually anywhere...I got it for $9.99
"get out of here jerk-off"
"jerk-off? You're the jerk-off, that's what I think of u"
"no you're the jerk-off, 'cause that's what u are"
(Ford smiles)
"Jerk-off"
"GET THE *beep* OUTTA HERE"
-the conversation between Ford & Lt. "Anus"...aftermath of
Johnny's death
I bought the DVD, but the sound transfer is horrible. True, it's not noticeable during the movie, only when you have effects like a gun going off. Seems the studio must of rushed to get this movie out.
