Remember When He Cried On Arsenio

I remember when the movie was coming out, I was 13 then and Dice was on Arsenio and he was crying about how the media and others were attacking him and he was sick of it and that Ford Fairlane was going to be a huge hit because of his fans, etc, etc. Now he can't even sellout a some bar that seats 20, anyways this wasn't his best acting, that would be Night Patrol.

I have always loved this movie, because of his portrait of a detective that is cool even when the world around him goes to sh*t. And the small gags of the movie had me laughing on the floor with my sister when i first saw it.

"Ahh.. the boys at the garage brought my baby back....beep-beep....BOOOOOOM!!"

"Money money money wekjrjkejriviviiviiid"

"Top of the world mom!"

Better to die laughing, than to perish in boredom.

Vidicator19, you are actually wrong. In the song "unbelievable" by EMF they Sample dice saying "unbelievable" (although he does say unf'ging'believable at times as well).

I remember seeing a documentary on Dice and his father said he was faking it. I'm not sure whether he was trying to cover up for him or not, but he seemed pretty sincere when he was explaining it. He said he was at the top of his game and that he did that a lot (fake crying that is) to people.

I remember seeing this on Arsenio (I used to tape it, because, you see, Arsenio Hall was like the height of comedy to a 13 year old in 1990) and I remember him crying too. I thought he was just joking, but I remember thinking that it seemed eerily sincere (and the audience obviously bought it because it became awkwardly quiet). But the concensus at my house was that it was all a joke. The world may never know.

The politically correct frauds really went after him, and maybe they didn't really understand Andrew Dice Clay. In fact, I heard that he is very reserve, and just has a few close friends and immediate family. How can you not be a comedian, make a statement about something, and not offend some people? Even Jack Benny paid a huge price when he had a skit that offended the residents of Baraboo, Wisconsin.
