I don't know what that Strat was made of when it hit the sidewalk, but a real Strat would not shatter like that. Was it supposed to be made of ceramic?

It shattered because it was all scratched up!

Quite a difference between dropping a guitar onstage, and from however many stories they were up that building.

Yeah, very different, except a real one wouldn't shatter like ceramic no matter where it was dropped from.

They took liberties for effect, so sue them. If you dropped one from that height it would probably split the body and the neck would snap off. Might be one for those two dorks, Adam and Jamie.
